About

Thomas holds a Bachelor and Master Degree in International Media and Computer Science and a Doctorate in Computer Science. He joined German UDS in January 2024 and was responsible for the setup of the e-learning eco system. Before joining the German UDS he was a Senior Lecturer at the HPI in Potsdam, where he was responsible for the openHPI MOOC platform and several of its partner platforms. He has designed, produced and conducted a variety of on-campus and online courses on several MOOC platforms and higher education institutions. Next to teaching, He has been working in several software development and product management roles and has published research on open online learning on various conferences and journals. Thomas is an ACM member, Senior IEEE Member, and a member of the ACM Learning@Scale and the EMOOCs steering committees, as well as a reviewer for several conferences and journals.
