Open Day Recap: A Special Day at German UDS
German UDS hosted an Open Day at the CloudHouse in Potsdam, and it turned into a truly memorable event. Here’s a quick look at the highlights that made this day exceptional:
#1 Collaboration Makes Everything Better
This wasn’t just an event hosted by German UDS—it was a joint effort with our new neighbor and partner, ems-electronic media school. The ems has officially moved into the CloudHouse, and this marks a milestone for the future of education and media innovation in Babelsberg. Together, we curated a dynamic lineup of activities, including workshops, creative media experiences, and a keynote speech by our president, Prof. Dr. Mike Friedrichsen.
The energy was palpable as attendees explored AR demonstrations, VR challenges, and guided tours of the innovative CloudHouse space. The collaboration brought together future-focused minds, sparking conversations about education and technology that will shape the years ahead.
#2 The People Made It
The success of the day was driven by the incredible energy of everyone involved—guests, speakers, organizers, and explorers alike. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all attendees for bringing their enthusiasm to the event. Special recognition goes to Valentina Meuren, Concierge Gerry, Lady Flauschn, Theodor Kehler, and many others who added their unique spark.
We were honored to welcome founders, investors, university representatives, and curious visitors from diverse backgrounds. This wasn’t just an open house; it felt like the start of a growing ecosystem dedicated to innovation in digital education.
#3 Spaces Shape Stories
The CloudHouse provided the perfect setting for this event. With its transparent walls, digital-first design, and bright atmosphere, it set the stage for meaningful discussions about the future of education. A special thank you goes to Syster Friedrichsen for her vision and dedication in making CloudHouse an inspiring hub for creativity and collaboration.
Looking Ahead
From Benjamin Denes’ opening remarks to Prof. Dr. Mike Friedrichsen’s powerful keynote on resilience and vision in education, every moment reinforced our mission to build the future of digital learning right here in Babelsberg.
We’re grateful to everyone who helped bring this Tag der Offenen Tür to life—and we’re just getting started. The future of education is being shaped at German UDS.
