About This Course

The ability to solve complex problems is one of the most important skills you can develop in the digital age. As we move forward into a future shaped by rapid technological change, you will encounter challenges that don’t fit neatly into a box. Problems are becoming more nuanced, more interconnected, and require a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and collaboration to solve. In this course, students will learn how to tackle these challenges head-on.

Prof. Steinhoff had designed this course to be highly experiential, encouraging you to think outside the box, work effectively in teams, and embrace a dynamic learning process. Together, students will navigate problem-solving techniques that will serve you not just in this course, but throughout your professional journey.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, my goal is that you’ll:

  • Have a strong foundation in the theoretical and methodological aspects of solving complex problems.
  • Be able to dissect and address intricate challenges, understanding how different elements intertwine.
  • Develop your cognitive, emotional, and social skills to tackle issues both individually and as part of a team.
  • Master the art of teamwork and conflict management — skills crucial to any leadership role.
  • Present complex problems and propose solutions confidently in front of an audience, even when faced with constructive criticism.

  • Micro Degrees are offered to non-regular students and require a fee of €900.
